Midwest Meridian is in formation. Our investment activity will be introduced as the portfolio takes shape, with companies and project partners grounded in Detroit, the Great Lakes, and markets beyond the basin.
The mandate
We back companies and operators that convert the Great Lakes’ physical advantages into repeatable, exportable solutions. Each investment is evaluated for its fit with the region, durable operating fundamentals, and the ability to scale beyond it.

Growth equity for hard-tech companies siting and scaling in the Midwest, including circular manufacturing, hydrogen and geothermal, advanced materials, grid and sensing technologies, and distributed energy.

~30% of Fund I · Instrumented, repeatable, exportable
Productized restoration and water technology born on the Great Lakes, including green infrastructure, harmful-algae remediation, wetland and shoreline resilience, and regenerative agriculture.

Technology and operating models that can be proven in the Midwest, then meet demand in markets worldwide.

Late-seed through growth-stage companies with a credible path to unsubsidized unit economics. Policy is an accelerant, never the foundation.
Anchor work
Reindustrializing and beautifying Detroit’s waterfront with the Belle Isle Conservancy and Port of Detroit is a live proof-of-concept for the firm’s approach. It demonstrates how clean industrial growth and nature-based solutions can be deployed side by side and built into a playbook for other Midwestern ports.
